We’re just a step ahead.

I still remember the time back when we we’re still at school. We’d manage to get there few hours before the class starts just to sit back, crack jokes and light our sticks of cigarettes. Sometimes, we’d secretly drink alcohol at the student center. We do that almost everyday.

We didn’t really care about what the others would say. It was like “everyday is a new day.” Hence, many people still find the group very warm and inviting. After all, we simply were the bizarre and the aberrant. I guess that’s how we were able to grow in number. ‘Though we had a lot of mischief, we were all kids once after all-carefree and wild.

Now, we have a child. Everything has changed. We can’t be too at ease to risk that life we’ve brought. Like you, we were once students-now parents. Our responsibilities and priorities have completely changed and understands that it will continue changing because we are now a family. We live as one.

Back then, I never fully understood the idea of being a mother not until I got pregnant and gave birth. I never realized all the malaise and the hardships it would bring as it was shown to me in a manner where I could only think of nothing but great enthusiasm and alacrity. Yet, I have and will embrace every little thing that it will bring as every minute in a day has a lesson to learn.

In this post, I give credit to my loving husband (and a father), Raphael. He always back me up for support. ‘Still, my very good friend since the beginning.
